MediaWiki:Sitenotice
2026-03-12: Cocopedia.com is now using a new caching system that should make things faster. Please let me know if you encounter any new issues.

2026-03-15: MediaWiki has been reinstalled and the old database and files restored. It was pretty clogged up from being upgraded so many times since 2004. I am also testing out Cloudflare to see if it can prevent the 'bot assaults that took the site down last year.

2026-03-16: Special thanks to Don Barber for hosting a backup mirror of CoCopedia: https://cocopedia.dgb3.net

9) Frank at Retrorewind.ca let me know that The World of Commodore show in Mississauga, Ontario has been announced for December 3-4, and it will be both in person and live streamed. Why am I mentioning a Commodore show, you ask? Because not only is Frank sponsoring their guest speaker (former Commodore UK managing director David Pleasance), but he will also be selling Coco stuff like the CocoSDC at his booth. So anyone in Toronto to Hamilton area that wants to pick up a CocoSDC in person, here is a chance.

10) James Diffendaffer posted source code (and a screenshot) of a BASIC program running in PMODE 4 generating a Brownian tree (a mathematical model). Warning: Since it uses so many random numbers in it's generation, it is quite slow:
