| 2026-03-12: Cocopedia.com is now using a new caching system that should make things faster. Please let me know if you encounter any new issues.
2026-03-15: MediaWiki has been reinstalled and the old database and files restored. It was pretty clogged up from being upgraded so many times since 2004. I am also testing out Cloudflare to see if it can prevent the 'bot assaults that took the site down last year. 2026-03-16: Special thanks to Don Barber for hosting a backup mirror of CoCopedia: https://cocopedia.dgb3.net |

News stories for Episode #192, December 26, 2020 show:
==========================================
1) NitrOS-9 EOU Beta 6, after about 8 months of work, is finally out. We will likely have a Q&A, maybe mini-tutorial session sometime this episode, for those trying it out and who have questions. Lots of new stuff added, including optional Drivewire support on real hardware (use SWAPBOOT to enable), and RTC support in all 3 Coco 3 emulators (VCC, OVCC, MAME) http://www.lcurtisboyle.com/nitros9/nitros9.html
2) Sheldon MacDonald posted his 5th "Exploring 6809 assembly" series on YouTube, "Converting 2 bytes to human readable string", split into two parts: Part 1:

Part 2:
https://youtu.be/Prlkn6Cz5U8

3) As Tim Lindner and others have pointed out, there is an very interesting project called Turbo09, which is a project to make an open-source professional level IP processor with modern pipelining, etc. but based on the 6809 instruction set architecture. Unfortunately, it doesn't sound like it could be a drop in replacement for a 6809 or 6309, but is for new designs.
