2026-03-12: Cocopedia.com is now using a new caching system that should make things faster. Please let me know if you encounter any new issues.

2026-03-15: MediaWiki has been reinstalled and the old database and files restored. It was pretty clogged up from being upgraded so many times since 2004. I am also testing out Cloudflare to see if it can prevent the 'bot assaults that took the site down last year.

Nickolas Marentes, nicknamed "Nick" (pun intended) and dubbed by The Original Gamer Stevie Strow as "The Thunder from Down Under" [1], is the author of various games and other programs and products (often commercially published, sometimes by Tandy itself) for the CoCo and other TRS-80 computers. He hails from Australia.

Nick started with the original TRS-80, retronymed the Model I, before moving on to the CoCo.

He gives his time generously to the CoCo community as a popular and sought-after guest on various podcasts, YouTube shows, and live events like PennFest.
