2026-03-12: Cocopedia.com is now using a new caching system that should make things faster. Please let me know if you encounter any new issues.

2026-03-15: MediaWiki has been reinstalled and the old database and files restored. It was pretty clogged up from being upgraded so many times since 2004. I am also testing out Cloudflare to see if it can prevent the 'bot assaults that took the site down last year.

If someone with Wiki experience wants to find an appropriate template for this, please do so. Ideally this would be a timeline of significant events in CoCo history, including introduction of various models and peripherals.

A good starting point might be old Radio Shack catalogs, noting what items were announced each year.

1980

  • Radio Shack releases the TRS-80 Color Computer

1983

  • Color Logo released in disk and "Program Pak" version

1985

1986

  • CoCo 3 released.

1990

  • First CoCoPro sponsored Atlanta CoCoFest

1992

  • First (and only) CoCoPro sponsored Chicago CoCoFEST!

1993

  • Middle America Fest in Des Moines, Iowa.
  • Glenside CoCo Club takes over the Chicago CoCoFEST!

1995

  • Last Atlanta CoCoFest.
